Introduction
The Medical College of Wuhan Polytechnic University has 50 years of history with nursing as the characteristic specialty. 10,000 students have been graduated from the school since its founding. Now, nursing offers 3-year and 4-year programs. The specialty of nursing has been proposed as a candidate of master's degree conferrer in the project of the university.
The college has 12 laboratories of basic courses, 4 clinic training rooms, 5 multimedia classrooms, 6 sets of experiment system of body function. The multi-function center of nursing training in which invested RMB1,000,000 has been in use.
The specialty of nursing currently has an enrollment of 500 students and a staff 32 of medical professionals including 4 with doctor's degree, 16 with master's degree and 12 with bachelor's degree in which has 3 professors.
The college has found 10 practice bases in 3-grade hospitals around Wuhan. It sufficiently meets the needs of clinic practice. The college attaches importance to bring up comprehensive and practice ability and provide training in complicated nursing skills to students who are receiving training in basic nursing concepts and professional nursing practice. Following graduations nurses are engaged in nursing education, nursing management and clinical nursing. Many graduates get praise by hospitals being employed.

Objects of Cultivation £º This major cultivates the professional talents of advanced nurse who possess medical science, basic knowledge of prevention and health care and the basic theory and skills of nursing, being able to engage in foreign nursing, clinical nursing and nursing management, nursing teaching and research.
Teaching Objective: This major mainly deals with the basic knowledge of medicine, prevention and health care; understanding the work method of clinic medicine; being familiar with the basic medical treatment of common disease and frequent disease.
